MARKET WITNESSES BULLS' SHOW
The
European markets got off to a positive start on Thursday and scaled to one-year
high level in early trade. The US stock ended mixed on Thursday. The SGX Nifty index is trading at 8659 mark.
Indian equity markets on Wednesday opened the session on a firm note amid
strong cues from Asian markets. Thereafter, it was a bull show as bulls
capitalised on the momentum.
The January series expiry of Futures and Options turned out to be scintillating as market registered gains of over 1%. The market breadth remained optimistic, as there were 1512 shares on the gaining side against 1234 shares on the losing side, while 206 shares remained unchanged. Finally, the BSE Sensex gained 332.56 points or 1.21% to 27708.14, while the CNX Nifty was up by 126.95 points or 1.5% to 8,602.75.

The DAX of Germany increased 0.36%, but the CAX 40 of France fell 0.21%. The FTSE 100 of the U.K. declined 0.04%.
